The Association ARCI Solaria teatrodanza was founded in October 2005, born of the dreams of Kyria De Antoni, Sonia Gobbi and Paola Marchesini after they had done various performances together.

Each one of them comes from different artistic backgrounds and experiences such as theatre, contemporary dance, singing and dance-therapy. During the production of their performances they often use a mix of artistic languages to increase the communication potential of  body language and emotional language.

They are interested in fathoming the depths of that art expression which tends to discover and bring to light social and human facts that are hidden or forgotten.

An important shared experience is the language of dance-therapy, as a possibility of personal change and transformation.

Art is not only a personal tool of expression but also a medium for communication, knowledge, transformation and social support.

Solaria teatrodanza also organizes workshops in schools, from kindergarten to high school. In the social and educational area, and in rehabilitation and therapeutic structures (halfway houses, community Centres, etc.), Solaria arranges theatre or dance-therapy classes for people who wish to gain more personal experience, or simply wish to play,  get to know themselves and release stress.

For more than two years Solaria has organized an intensive workshop with G. Hoffman Soto, Anna Halprin's close co-operator since 1978.

He has been developing "The Performance Lab" over the last 15 years at the Tamalpa Institute in San Francisco. He teaches anatomy of movement at the New College of California and gives classes in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
